Salutations.
Been a little quiet lately as...it's been pretty much the quietest part of my year. Not a lot tends to to happen in January and February so I'm taking to using those months for research and development. In the interim time I've made a bunch of inroads into new things to offer, and added a few smaller items to my Etsy, as well as adding in an option for my mask heads through it so as people can make purchases easily if required.
I've been getting to grips with proper wiring and soldering so that I can offer fans, LEDs and other interesting electrical curiosities within my FX.
I've also been fielding a few quotes from commissioners and events, and a lot of them sound like very exciting projects! Incredibly exciting. Many of them are horror-related, corpses, monsters, that sort of stuff. A few others are LARP costume pieces that I'm very much looking forward to working on.
In that vein, I've been looking into entirely rehauling the 'under the hood' portions of my mask heads. As the majority of my mask commissioners, (or potential ones) are Live Action Roleplayers, I want to have a range of masks that would be more comfortable for this. So alongside my PU resin works I'm also hoping to be able to offer ones that allow the wearer to use their own eyes and use a flexible foam cast for the sake of comfort and safety. So watch this space.
Also! As some of the pictures in my gallery I'm working on one of the 'classic' masks as a premade piece. A red fox. That should be going up for sale some time in the near future, depending on how busy I am with other work.
Also also! I've pledged one of my new pewter pieces, an 'Ancient Mjolnir' to the LARPaid auction 2016! If you need a mjolnir for yourself, your character, or a viking that you care for, and you happen to be attending, do check it out! I've pledged it free of charge and the profits from this year are going to Childline, which is a very worthy cause!
